Solar Power World has recognized Lightsource bp\u2019s growth and success in developing utility-scale solar projects across the United States by ranking the company at <\/span>No. 2 on the 2023 Top Solar Developers list<\/span><\/b><\/a>, for the second year in a row.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Top Solar Contractors list is developed each year by industry magazine <\/span>Solar Power World<\/span><\/i> to honor the work of companies advancing new solar installations in the <\/span>United<\/span> States. Solar firms in the utility, commercial and residential markets are ranked by number of kilowatts installed in the previous year. Companies are grouped and listed by specific services, markets and states. Lightsource bp is ranked at No. 2 in the nation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2022 alone, the Lightsource bp team in the USA brought 622 megawatts of projects into commercial operation, the benchmark for this year\u2019s top solar developer ranking. That\u2019s enough to power more than 100,000 U.S. homes.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cRenewable energy accounts for a quarter of U.S. electrical generation, now far exceeding electricity produced by burning coal,\u201d said Kelsey Misbrener, managing editor of Solar Power World. \u201cSolar power is an important member of that renewable makeup, and companies on the Top Solar Contractors List are all contributing to our country\u2019s shift to cleaner electricity.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
