Lightsource bp awarded prestigious Platinum Award from the Charities Trust

We are delighted to share that Lightsource bp has been awarded a Platinum Payroll Giving Quality Mark Award 2023.

This award, presented by Charities Trust, was in recognition of fostering a culture of philanthropy and commitment to giving in the workplace, by promoting payroll giving to the very highest standard.

One in five UK Lightsource bp team members support charity through payroll giving

The Platinum Payroll Giving Quality Mark Award was presented thanks to 20% of our UK Lightsource bp team members giving money to charity through our payroll giving scheme, which is also offered globally. At Lightsource bp we support the Lightsource Foundation, where alongside World Vision, we work towards a better future for communities across the world.

This simple way of giving is great for charities as they are provided with regular income. Donations are also deducted from monthly gross pay, prior to tax deductions, meaning it costs less for our team members to give more to their chosen causes. Better yet, as a company we match the amount donated by our team members.

We’re incredibly pleased to have been awarded the Platinum Award from the Charities Trust. But it doesn’t stop there, we’ve got lots more charity work on the horizon, you can follow our monthly philanthropy updates to find out more.

Plus, if you’re interested in becoming part of the Lightsource bp team, we’re hiring for lots of roles. Check out our careers page to see our latest vacancies.
